I pay 33 pounds a month but apparently that must be cheap for my gym cos me and my sis have joint membership which is meant to make it less money! The only good thing is we get a loan of a towel every time we come. But given I havent been in four months, its not exactly value for money no matter how much it is!!!

i pay $70 for the gym i had no intention of using for a year and a gym that i don't use. When i signed up i thought it was month to month but no no, i'm stuck for a year.

Otherwise, my gym membership is actually free since i work at the one nearest to my house and boyfriend also gets a 50% discount off an otherwise $97/month membership. I guess paying $70/month isn't that bad afterall...

I actually mooch off my parent's gym membership (apparently I can do this until I'm 24 or 25). If I couldn't do that, I have NO idea how I'd even go about finding a gym. For $55 a month, though, I feel like you should definitely get free towels!

I paid $60/mo, but the gym is 24 hours, offers yoga, pilates and other classes, all the towels I want, two indoor pools, two outdoor pools, a water slide, wet and dry saunas, free hairdryer and a better shower than I have at home.

So it's worth it. Sometimes I just go there and eat at the cafe (the food is phenomenal).

my gym is £40 monthly, which is like $70 US, and enough to buy a house in Australian pesos. And it's the suckiest gym ever, they have one tiny spin room, one tiny studio, and everythings always broken - the stereos, heating in the changerooms, cooling in the workout rooms, the one stairmaster, even the free drinks dispenser is always broken (which I prefer to it's previous state of dispensing suspect black flakes in the drinks).
I hate it, but I'm stuck on this frigging contract and I'd have to pay out something like £400 ($700 dollars?) to cancel it. Grr!

I pay $50 AU per fortnight (so equiv to around $45ish US$), but that gives me access to about 20 gyms across Sydney (dodgy suburban ones up to platinum city gyms).

And, can't you just take your own towel? That's what our gym does. Also includes classes. Includes lockers. Includes use of communal hairdryer. Includes the lot, really. Except clean toilets - they seem to struggle with that one.

Hm. I just paid $140 for the semester - that amounts to I believe around 33 a month. Not bad. But it's through the university I work at, using my NYU ID.

Also. Can you possibly rent a locker for overnight storage? I used to dump my towel in there after letting it dry a bit. Once, I got caught in a horrendous downpour coming home from the gym - it happened to be laundry day, and I had my towel with me. I was pretty drenched. But I think I would have been more so, had I not had my trusty towel. *insert kickass empowering noise here*

$60 is actually pretty good! I pay $85 a month, though it does include towels and classes. I think ALL gyms are crowded now because of the silly New Years Resolutioners (who will be gone in a month, might I add).
