Swim Training Update
Yesterday was my last swim session of the term with my coach.
It was a really good work out and at the end we had to do 4 x 50s each as strong as we could. My fastest was 45 seconds. Then Coach said, “add 5 and multiply by 2. Now do 100 in that time”
I felt like I was trying really hard, but I came in at 1:41… one second slower than the goal he set for me. Time was up and other people were waiting to use the pool, so I started to join everybody else in a cool down, but he said, “What about our goal? It’s your last chance to be a super star.”
And it’s true. Last chance to be a super star. So I did 100 again. I really pushed it. I came in at 1:33.
Pretty much every week that guy makes me do something I didn’t think I could do. Today I realized how lucky I am to every week find a new limit. He’s the best coach ever.

Way to go! I find it hard to get motivated to go to the pool. Maybe I need a coach...
You are so amazing!
This post made me think of that highschool musical song to which the lyrics go:
"Push it, push it, to the limit, limit cause we're in it to win it in it to win it OH YEAH."
Wait that isn't from highschool musical thats from another disney chanel movie about jump rope.
Congrats. Sounds like you found yourself a coach that is well worth the money. So few are these days...
Is that 100m or 100 yards? Either way...nice!
Lin- yards, I guess. The pool at the PAC. BUT STILL.
good coaches = fantastic. and rare.
WOW. I need a swim coach like that so I'll feel brave enough to do a Tri!
always the sign of a good coach. congrats on beating your goal!
Good coaching and GREAT swimming! Dig your bad self!
That's fantastic Lisa! I actually wish I had a life coach who pushed me in the same ways. I so, so need one!
Go you! You are awesome! I am excited for your next triathlon.
Wow, good for you! Your coach sounds amazing.
I would never be able to do a triathalon. I don't think they make bicycles adjustable for high heels.
Kidding...sort of.
