Who? Oh her. She's dull.

What is the worst thing in the world to be known as?

When a friend (hi, Chris!) and I started to have this conversation, I immediately was thinking titles like "bitch" "asshole" "total jerk" and the like.

But bitches get what they want! Often people are jealous of bitches. Bitches are usually hot (exception: fat bitches. But they are often the bitter bitches, and therefore are in a title of their own.) And even if you're an asshole it means you make people care enough to get angry; you have enough influence to rile somebody up.

Okay, so, "ugly". Nobody wants to be called ugly.

But ugly is an opinion, surely not EVERYBODY agrees. Plus how many ugly people are funny and smart? Ugly people are loved, too!

Okay, so stupid. A moron. Clueless.

'Tevs, soooooo many people are stupid. It would suck to actually BE stupid, but to be KNOWN as stupid isn't such a big deal.

When I posed the question to another friend (hi, Shauna Jean!), she said "unreliable"

But unreliable isn't so bad. It's an action, right? You're unreliable because of something you do (or fail to do). You can change that. It'd be a sucky reputation to have, but you can fix it. Or just move and get new friends.

Chris suggested that the worst thing to be called is "dull".

I fully agree. Dull? Nobody likes a dull person. Nobody wants to hang around a dull person. Nobody even notices a dull person. Dull is the worst thing to be.

What would you never want to be known as?

self-centered is pretty bad. I've known some pretty self-centered people...and after a while no one liked them.

except maybe this isn't so bad because they can be so self-centered that they don't even realize that no one likes them.

i think i agree with the dull. whenever i feel moderately depressed i also feel dull. well, maybe bitchy too. anyway, dull sucks. although, i think dullness a relative term, as well.

maybe indecisive is a bad label as well....? but i'm not too sure.

I definitely, definitely agree. Being boring is sort of my biggest fear.

ORDINARY.

Worst of the worst!

Fake.

Dull is ok, it actually says more about the person saying it than you. Who cares if they don't find you interesting, so long as you're being who you are. There's no fun being in with the in-crowd if you're faking it.

Indeed. Dull is a bad way to be remembered.

Someone told me I had no personality one time. It was one of the worst things anyone has ever said to me.

However, I've had plenty of people tell me I had a WONDERFUL personality, so I guess I'm not "dull." That guy was just mad. But it reiterates your point! I still remember it, even though the person who said it had no significance to me!

Nobody wants to be called dull!

Stuck-up. I actually fought with my MIL (before she became my MIL) b/c my BIL called me stuck-up and self centered, snobby and better than everyone.

I am the furthest from all of those things. So I really hate it :)

Dull and boring. Definitely don't want to be either.

Annoying. Definitely.

My boyfriend called me boring once (for some stupid reason like I didn't feel like going out one night) and I got RIDICULOUSLY offended. Boring/dull is a pretty bad thing to be.

Also? If you care? I had McDonalds today. And it was GOOOOOD.

I say boring, granted it's pretty much along the lines of dull.

conceited I think is the worst. I would never want to be known as that!

Yeah dull would be pretty bad. I also don't like self-centered. Or being called not intelligent. That would be sucky. :)

Pompous! I think that that is the worst trait you could possibly have. Catty, self-centered, shallow etc. All of these qualities I'd rather wear on my sleeve than be considered pompous.

I agree with Dull,
Although at times dull is good, I don't mind being in between dull people when my migraine starts hammering my brain. Dull people are usually quite compliant.

But yeah I wouldn't want to wear that label, hell no.

I'm going to say that I would never want to be called "ignorant".

I'd rather someone think I'm stupid rather than ignorant. Big difference: One you can prevent, the other one... well, not so much, you know?

yeah, dull is good. i hate being called a liar when i'm not lying. i also can't stand it when i'm misunderstood.

ordinary. i would never want to be called ordinary.

Dull is pretty bad. I wouldn't want to be described as simple or unexciting either.

Dull is bad, but I'd hate to be known as stupid. I think that's because I get a lot of my identity out of being "smart," so it would be devastating to lose it!

"What would you never want to be known as?"

crazy. But then again that one could have benefits. Like maybe nobody argues or messes with you.

I think wraps it up!

hmmm... I'm guessing the worst would be:

a fake, ugly, dull, stupid, bitch, who for the most part is very unreliable and often an asshole to others!

Liar. I think that's probably the most difficult reputation to ever save yourself from--whether it's true or not!

Dull, yes, dull would be bad. I agree with your reasoning too.

dull is definitely bad. i also agree with needy and ignorant. i got really upset when my bf kept teasing me the other night that i was a princess, so i guess maybe "high maintenance" as well?

I have many, I never want to be cold-hearted, self-absorbed, or a low life.

I've been called lame, but that doean't bother me at all. So what if I don't feel like doing what "you are" doing. You know?

I really don't care what people think, ugly, fat, dorky...but just don't tell me I am self-absorbed.

I imagine I'd get sort of fed up if I was known as a pedophile. Or a bad conversationalist.

It's funny that you said dull because that's mine.

Dull implies lack of spark or curiosity and those are two of my favourite qualities about myself.

Or... I would say ignorant. Not ignorant as in rude, but ignorant as in... oblivious to the world around me. I'm not sure why, but that would really piss me off if I was labeled that.
