Baby, remember my name

What's my deal with fame, seriously.

Oh, I'll tell you!

Fame is splendid. I want to be famous. I'm 90% sure that I eventually will be. For my voice, obvi, if not my lacrosse skills.

KIDDING. I'd be a famous actress. I have no doubt that even if I'm not Oscar material, I can definitely out-act the likes of Cameron Diaz or the girl who plays Ginny in Harry Potter (granted, I'm still giving her a chance to prove herself in book 6 when she finally gets her snog on with Harry).

On the weekend a semi-famous (I'm sure he's well known in small circles) person inquired after my relationship status via one of my friends while at a bar. This of course is exciting news. He's kind of got weird eyebrows and I've heard he's annoying... but hey! Some-what fame!

Today I just found out that I work fairly closely with the brother of a famous singer (hint: think Grammy level famous). I've known him for a while, but just discovered who is sibling is today. This is of course exciting news. I had to keep my cool when chatting with him during lunch today. Maybe eventually I'll bring up the fact that YOUR SISTER IS CURRENTLY ONE OF THE TOP 100 COOLEST HUMANS ALIVE when the moment is appropriate.

I'm pretty frequently criticized for my love of celebrity gossip. I mean I mostly love the public appearance pictures like red carpets or whatever, but you show me a picture of KBell playing with her dogs at the park and I will say "SHE'S EVEN COOLER THAN THE SISTER OF THE GUY I WORK WITH" and if you show me a picture of Lindsay Lohan I will say "LEGGINGS AGAIN, LINDSAY?" Yeah, I'll defend my love of celebrity gossip to the death.

What's YOUR deal with fame?

I am an US addict and love to play the fame game thinking that I know all the scoop before anyone else...I have some ties to a few famous individuals but nothing too exciting!

I am such a gossip fanatic. I know waaaay too much about celebrities, it's a little ridiculous. But I can't help it either. Oh well :)

I'm not famous, I'll probably never be famous, and I don't know anyone famous. But my aunt talked to George Clooney once! He called security. That's actually a true story.

Email me and tell me who the sister is! I'm dying to know! I won't tell anyone... promise.

I typically scorn others for being too much into celebrities. I have to admit that I LOVE the Oscars especially the red carpet part!

What are you doing for the Oscars Lis?

I freaked out when I discovered that my close friend grew up with a songwriter who collaborates with Mary J. Blige and Rhianna.

I grew up in an area famous for it's famous people. I also have way too much intimate knowledge in the personal lives of celebrities I've never met or will ever meet or even know anyone who has met them.

yeah i ALWAYS wanted to be famous when i was younger, acting as if i was famous all the time with my friends.

i still want to be famous, but with all the gossip mags/sites/reality shows, i don't think it would be as fun.

I'd love to say I am above the influence of celebrity gossip, but truth be told, my life is a sinful mix of holding one hand to my mouth while holding the other out dramatically to who, what, when, where..and the over stressed Nooooo.

In my senior year of high school, I wrote a terribly snarky essay railing on "celebraholics." But you want to know the truth? I adore celebrity gossip. Love it. Just don't tell, k? And I've never met anyone famous, but I had a roommate who knew Robin Williams.

You work with Britney Spears' brother?!?! Wow!

I love me some celebrity gossip. People.com is the first website I go to when bored and US Weekly is the first magazine I pick up waiting in line at Target. Can't get enough, really.

I like to track people on imbd who i either know or have some connection to:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1724345/

like how my cousin got to hang out with Sam L. Jackson and Josh Hartnett for a weekend or two while filming "Resurrecting the Champ"

i like being famous in small circles, which is, i guess, more like being well-known in the areas i frequent. i like walking into an event and knowing that most of the people there know who i am and like watching me rock the social scene. does that make me vain? yeah, probably a little bit. but i don't think i could stand fame on a national level like celebrities - it would just freak me out too much.

I see famous people at the gym. At every gym I've ever belonged to. Most notably: Matt Damon. Most recently: The Rock

It's sad that I got really excited to see the Guttenberg's name on the list of "celebrities" on the upcoming season of Dancin w the Stars.

And I've totally seen Britney Spear's boob.

Celebrity gossip/fame addict, right here. Obsessed doesn't even begin to describe. I've eaten in the booth next to Regis Philbin before at Johnny Rockets in Beverly Hills; gotten eyed up and down by Jaime Foxx in the Venetian; and practically ran over by Ludacris and his security + entourage at a club.

I try not to be such a spaz when it comes to celeb gossip, but...I can't. It's just too easy to pull up those websites here at work, or flip through the pages of the most recent US or People at the gym. I'm glad to hear I'm not alone.

I am currently on the cover of Time Magazine! How's that for a touch of fame?!

But now nothing after this could be any cooler. Oh well. :)

Kirsten Dunst once borrowed a chair from our table at a restaurant venue in LA. And I got an autograph from Hugh Jackman after one of his Broadway shows--I could barely speak, he was so gorgeous.

Admittedly addicted to Perez Hilton.

It was a sad day when I realized I probably wouldn't win an Oscar or be in the pages of People. In fact, I think I'm still struggling with that fact.m

I absolutely ADORE celebrity gossip! That being said, I loathe people who are famous just because they'll turn up to the opening of an envelope, or because of who their parents are (Paris Hilton, I'm looking at you!) but it's always nice to read about these people humiliating themselves by ending up in jail, or just accidentally having a bad hair day when there's paparazzi around. Ha!

i'm intrigued, yet not at all obsessed with most celebrties.

any member of the ny giants, however? i would elbow babies in the face to get a chance to talk to one of them.

I'm obsessed with knowing people who know famous people... probably b/c I live in WV and there are NO famous people here.

Dlisted.com = my guilty pleasure. For real.

My biggest celebrity encounter was being an extra in a movie with Christina Ricci.

I once hit Anne Heche in the face with a door.

I went to college with "Feathers" from Planet Unicorn.

And--just today--I spent a MySpace message to someone on a TV show. I'm not even kidding. And I revised it multiple times.

I have a problem.
