Engineering Girls
There are only six girls in my entire engineering class. One is leaving next term and the other doesn't really like talking to other people. So for all intents and purposes, there are four girls.
So what would you do if you were an incredible minority? Why, wear pink shirts and jean skirts, and have a picnic in the front row, OF COURSE!

and i always think of canada now when i see tim hortons because of those commercials. i mean really, do canadians get married at tim hortons on a daily basis? i'm relying on you to tell me the truth here, lisa. enlighten me :)

I love Tim Horton's! I was kind of obsessed with it when I visited Canada and then recently, on a road trip to NH, M and I saw a sign for one! In the US!
He didn't understand why I was so excited.

mmmm...Tim Horton's. My Dad could give you directions to any place in Ontario using Tim Hortons locations as the landmarks. That stuff is like crack for us canucks. And since the evolution (yes, as in important benchmark in the development of mankind) of steep tea, i'm addicted.
Tim Hortons? I must google it.

It's basically, on simple terms, a coffee and donut place... but it's actually so much more than that! It might as well be on the Canadian flag.

Like Krispy Kreme ?
no Krispy Kreme is pretty gross and very American. My home city had Canada's first KK and it was exciting for a bit until the nutritional value was made public- one donut= one big mac. And now the place is basically out of business and I heard they're not building anymore Canadian franchises.
So, no, not at all like Krispy Kreme.

Hey Lisa! Good for you for sticking with engineering school. And staying true to yourself in the process. Your blog is delightful. I love engineers because they can solve problems. I'm an artsy right-brained type, but I've always hung out with engineers. Good luck with the rest of your schooling.
